Arrived at the hospital around 9 PM. At that time no major contractions so they started Deb on pitocin to help kickstart things (and since her water broke about 18 hours ago). It's now almost 1 AM and it seems to be working as Deb is starting to feel stronger contractions. Speaking of which, when our nurse gave Deb the pitocin her quote was "So the goal of the this medicine is pain"...so far so good.
Not sure how long it will take for things to get moving but the doctor said it could be a few hours or longer (potentially much longer). So we're gearing up for a long night; but we're ready...we have our computer for movies, portable stereo for music, and plenty of reading material. Now if we could just get rid of those distracting contractions...
Here's a pic of us and some "visitors" (i.e. grandparents to be)...we wish Grandpa and Gigi could be here too!
